Rift: Warden


Warden is a healing soul with a few damage spells mixed in. It's main form of healing is heal over time spells. All numbers listed are from Rank 1 abilities unless otherwise stated.

(Root abilities)
Healing oriented
-Healing Spray: Heal over time. Heals the target for 88 health. 12 second duration. 8 mana, no cooldown, instant cast, 35 meter range.
-Healing Current: Heals target for 58-61 health and an additional 40 health over time. 14 second duration. 21 mana, no cooldown, 2 second cast, 35 meter range.
-Tidal Surge: Increases the effectiveness of the cleric's next healing spell by 50%. 30 second duration. Does not trigger global cooldown. 41 mana, 45 second cooldown, self-cast only.
-Cleansing Waters: Removes 1 curse, disease or poison from target. 41 mana, no cooldown, instant cast, 35 meter range.
-Healing Flood: Heal over time. Heals up to 5 party or raid members for 171 health. 12 second duration. 80 mana, no cooldown, instant cast, 20 meter range.
-Deluge: Heals the target for 96-100 health in addition to 20 health for each active heal over time effect on the target cast by the cleric up to a maximum of 6. 26 mana, 8 second cooldown, 2 second cast time, 35 meter range.
-Well of Life: Brings fallen ally back to life with 20% health and mana. Cannot be used in combat. 226 mana, no cooldown, 8 second cast time, 30 meter range.
-Soothing Stream: Heals ally for 91 health per stack, stacks up to 4 times. 12 second duration. 26 mana, no cooldown, instant cast, 35 meter range.
-Curative Waters: Removes 1 curse, disease or poison every 3 seconds. 6 second duration. 41 mana, 10 second cooldown, instant cast, 30 meter range.
-Ocean's Blessing: Passive. Increases spell power bonus on the cleric's heal over time abilities by 6% plus an additional 3.6% per point spent in the warden soul above 36.
-Orbs of the Tide: Puts 3 orbs on the target, every time the target takes damage one orb is used healing up to 5 party or raid members within 10 meters for 349-355 health. 238 mana, 45 second cooldown, 2 second cast time, 35 meter range.
-Healing Cataract: Heals up to 5 party or raid members for 362-368 health. 61 mana, 8 second cooldown, 2 second cast time, 15 meter range.
-Downpour: Channeled. Heals up to 10 party or raid memebers within 15 meters for 1620 health. 6 second duration. 488 mana, 1 minute cooldown, channeled, 30 meter range.


Damage oriented
-Waterjet: Deals 10-12 water damage. 8 mana, no cooldown, instant cast, 30 meter range.
-Crushing Wave: Deals 15-18 water damage and knockback effect. 11 mana, 15 second cooldown, instant cast, 30 meter range.
-Drown: Damage over time. Deals 32 water damage and silences the enemy. 12 second duration on damage, 3 second duration on silence. 51 mana, 30 second coolown, instant cast, 30 meter range.
-Glassy Reflection: The next spell cast on the cleric is reflected back at the attacker. 5 second duration, does not trigger global cooldown. 41 mana, 30 second cooldown, instant cast, self-cast only.

Other
-Blessing of the Sea: Allows ally to breath underwater. 1 hour duration. 41 mana, no cooldownd, instant cast, 35 meter range.

(Tree abilities/talents. I won't list them all but I'll list a few that I think are important)
Healing oriented
-Aquatic Affinity: Increases your maximum mana by 2/4/6/8/10%.
-Fluidity: Increases the effectiveness of your heal over time abilities by 2/4/6/8/10%
-Surging Rapids: Increases the effectiveness of your instant cast heals by 3/6/9/12/15%
-Orbs of the Stream: Puts 3 orbs on the target. Each time the target is hit an orb is used healing them for 190-195 health. 28 mana, 45 second cooldown, 2 second cast, 35 meter range.
-Ebb and Flow: Casting a heal gives the cleric a 6/12/18/24/30% chance to increase their wisdom by 2% per application, up to 5 applications. 10 second duration.
-Still Waters: Reduces the cooldown of your deluge by .8/1.6/2.4/3.2/4 seconds.
-Diona's Gift: Increases the healing bonus granted by your tidal surge by 6/12/18/24/30%.
-Ripple: Causes any single target, water-based heal over time spells the cleric casts to affect up to 5 additional party or raid members within 15 meters. 6 second duration. Does not trigger global cooldown. 184 mana, 45 second cooldown, instant cast, self-cast only.
-Overflow: When you critically hit with a heal the target gains overflow healing them for health equal to your wisdom the next time they take damage. 15 second duration.
-Healing Showers: Heals up to 10 party or raid members for 423 health. 12 second duration. 156 mana, 2 minute cooldown, instant cast, 7 meter range.
-Rising Waters: Increases the additional healing done by your deluge by 6/12/18/24/30%.

Mana regen oriented
-Cascade: Target regains 15% of their maximum mana. 3 second duration. 43 mana, 2 minute cooldown, instant cast, 35 meter range.

Playstyle
I usually cast orbs of the stream on the tank at the end of fights to give me time to stack HoTs at the beginning of the next pull. I'll give the tank a few seconds to get aggro then start stacking HoTs. If they've taken enough damage I'll cast healing current. Use deluge and/or bigger heals from other souls when tank takes a lot of damage. If the group is taking light damage I'll put a few HoTs on the members who need it. For heavier damage I'll use healing flood and healing showers and/or ripple.

Pros
-Soothing streams heals quite a lot fully stacked
-HoTs give some leeway to use long cast time heals
-Mana efficient
-A lot of options for AoE healing at higher levels

Cons
-Heavily dependent on keeping HoTs stacked
-Lack of large heals
-Harder to heal with at lower levels (once you can get soothing stream that really helps)
